Hello again everyone!
My has it been too long. 2019 is flying by so quickly. Thanks for joining me and reading our 2019 update!
January was packed with daily salon busyness and then the very eventful Outer Banks Wedding Association Wedding Expo.
Valentines day always adds a romantic flare in the air at the Salon in February.
March is just down right cold here on the Outer Banks, but we have all the blow outs keeping us warm in the salon. :)
April is the kick off season for wedding season and we had a hand full of gorgeous brides and bridal parties this year!
May is the month where we head into full swing wedding season every weekend and the salon picks up even more as visitors come and locals continue to support Salty Hair Salon. Partial and Full Highlights keep us busy as everyone is either getting a fresh haircut or brightening up their hair for the summer beach days!
June is a fun month. The Salon did a few more weddings before they slow down due to the heat of the summer. Our staff usually enjoy hitting the beach before or after work and during our days off. The Atlantic begins to warm up (besides the cold up welled days) and there can still be some fun longboard waves to ride even though most of the summer is flat.
July is a hot one! No waves and typically cold water as the wind comes off the land and pushes all the warm water out to sea and gives us cold up welled water in return. The Salon had a weird July with many guests not showing up to their appointments which was very frustrating for our staff. But we persevered with our faithful regular guests and it was a fun month to say the least.
Now we are in August and it’s already almost September. Summer 2019 truly flew by. All Dare County schools started back this week. September and October are our favorite months for beach time and waves and then November and December are super busy holiday months at the salon.
We are looking forward to the days ahead. But we are also thankful for the past and staying content in the present, or at least that is the goal. :) If you need a better hair day or some fresh color and new hair style please, you know where to find us and how to contact us. :)
